About Catholic Migration Services - Queens Office

Catholic Migration Services provides free legal services and Know Your Rights education to low-income individuals regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, national origin, or immigration status.

We assist immigrants with immigration legal services, tenants in Queens with housing legal services, and low-wage workers with employment legal services.

In addition, we are committed to collaborating with and serving the diverse ethnic ministries of our community through pastoral services for immigrants. This preserves the cultural traditions and heritage of our people by ensuring ongoing fellowship and spiritual growth in the life of the Church.

Immigration Services:

Assistance with affirmative applications for immigration relief to individuals living in Brooklyn and Queens, including Naturalization/citizenship; Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA); Family reunification; Employment authorization; Political asylum; Visas for victims of crime or trafficking; Violence Against Women Act (VAWA); Temporary Protected Status (TPS), assistance to some immigrants in deportation removal proceedings.

Assistance for Tenants:

Representation to Queens tenants with housing problems and questions, such as needed repairs and essential services, eviction notices and threats, housing court proceedings; helping organize tenant associations, leases and rent increases, succession rights, applications for SCRIE and DRIE; landlord threats and harassment.

Assistance for Workers:

Free advice and representation to low-wage workers city wide with problems such as, minimum wage and overtime pay violations; unsafe work conditions; discrimination and harassment.
