The City Bar Justice Center increases access to justice for low-income and disadvantaged New Yorkers by leveraging the volunteered time and expertise of the New York City legal community.
Need legal help but unable to pay for a lawyer? We’re here.
The Legal Hotline is staffed by attorneys who assist low-income callers on a range of civil legal issues, including matrimonial and family law, housing law, domestic violence, bankruptcy, and debt collection and benefits. Our staff includes bilingual attorneys who speak English and Spanish, and we can accept calls in any language through interpreting services.
Please call (212) 626-7383. We are available Monday through Thursday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The hotline is not available between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Have any papers relating to the problem on hand when you call.
We serve the following area:

- New York (Manhattan) County
- Queens County
- Richmond (Staten Island) County
